Nyx is a personal astrology and numerology app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it is protected.

Information we collect

• Account: your email address, used to create and identify your account.
• Birth data: your birth date, birth time, and birth city. This is used solely to calculate your astrological chart and generate your readings.
• Readings: AI-generated readings created for you are stored so they can be retrieved on future visits without being regenerated.
• Subscription status: if you subscribe, your subscription is managed through RevenueCat. We receive only your subscription status — no payment details are stored by Nyx.

How we use your information

• To calculate your natal chart, transits, and numerology data.
• To generate and cache personalized readings via Claude AI (Anthropic).
• To authenticate you and maintain your account.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Compatibility and user discovery

If you choose to set a Nyx handle (username), you become discoverable by other Nyx users. When another user runs a compatibility reading with you, your first name, birth date, birth time, and birth city are shared with them for the purpose of calculating your astrological compatibility. Setting a handle is optional — if you do not set one, you cannot be found by other users and no data is shared.

Third-party services

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase servers. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — your birth data and chart information are sent to Anthropic's API to generate readings. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models. Anthropic Privacy Policy

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your email, birth data, and all stored readings.

Children

Nyx is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
